Actually, we are talking about farmer Sanjay Singh. Sanjay Singh is a resident of Bagadhi village in Kaimur district. He had cultivated hot paddy in one acre. The special thing is that Sanjay Singh has been cultivating India Gate paddy for the last two years. But this time he decided to cultivate it in Zayed season and he got success in it to a great extent. Sanjay Singh says that the cost of cultivating hot paddy was less as compared to the Kharif season. Along with this, the wastage of water also reduced. They are excited by the bumper production of paddy. He says that from next year he will cultivate paddy in 10 acres.
Crop ready in 45 days
Sanjay Singh says that he got the idea of cultivating hot paddy from Ambedkar Nagar in UP. There he saw the farmers cultivating paddy in Zayed season. After this, he came to his village and started cultivating hot paddy. He said that India Gate had sown paddy in April to prepare the nursery. There, transplanted it in the last week of May. According to Sanjay Singh, the crop was ready in just 45 days. But, due to rain, there was a delay of 20 days in harvesting it. Due to this paddy had to be cut in August.
Can earn one lakh rupees by selling rice
Farmer Sanjay Singh says that the paddy crop has to be irrigated only twice in the Zayed season, so that the field remains moist. Along with this, the cost of cultivation also comes down. According to him, the biggest feature of Zayed season is that the crop gets ready in just 45 to 50 days. It takes 130 to 140 days to prepare such paddy crop. He says that about 11 quintals of rice will be produced in 16 quintals of paddy. Right now 10 kg India Gate rice is coming for Rs.1000. In this way, he can earn more than one lakh rupees by selling 1100 kg of rice.
