The highest inflation in these two states of INDIA, do you live here?

Retail inflation figures have come out on the evening of 14 August. Retail inflation in the country has reached a 15-month high. In such a situation, it is also very important to understand that which state of the country has the highest inflation. So here you can see the complete statistics...

Recently, the government released the retail inflation data. In the month of July, the retail inflation in the country increased by 15 percent to 7.44 percent. In such a situation, the biggest question is that which state of the country has the highest inflation? Somewhere you are not living in that state. Let us also tell you the name of that state.

Retail inflation in Rajasthan, one of the largest states in the country, has become the highest in the country. According to media reports, Rajasthan recorded the highest retail inflation rate of 9.7 percent in July, followed by Jharkhand at 9.2 percent. Disruption in vegetable supplies, election-related expenses, etc. have been blamed by economists and consumer protection bodies.

Inflation is not expected to reduce now

Economists have highlighted that the recent increase in retail inflation is due to disruption in the supply chain of vegetables due to uneven rains. Apart from tomato, ginger, many vegetables have been affected the most, whose prices have seen an increase in the last few months. Professor ND Mathur, Dean of the Jaipur School of Economics, said in a media report that drought has affected vegetable crops in August, which suggests that prices may not return to normal levels in the coming months due to deficient rains.

Why did inflation increase?

The round of assembly elections was worsening the situation, due to which the liquidity in the state increased. Professor Mathur said that at the time of elections, the demand increases due to additional cash flow in the hands of the public, due to which the prices increase. The recent decision of the Law Ministry to increase the maximum election expenditure limit for candidates has also contributed to the rise in inflation.

During this, due to welfare schemes, cash has come in the hands of the people. State government dearness relief camps provided subsidies on cooking gas, electricity, health insurance and hospital treatment, among other benefits. Because of which this flow of money in the economy has contributed to the overall inflationary pressure.

How much was the inflation in July

In July, village retail inflation as measured by the Consumer Price Index rose to 9.30 per cent from 5.11 per cent, while urban inflation rose to 10.90 per cent from 5 per cent in June. According to data from the National Statistics Office, 37.43 per cent share in retail inflation is for vegetables and 13 per cent for cereals and related products. After Rajasthan, the highest inflation has been seen in Jharkhand. It is the second state in the country where more than 9 percent retail inflation has been seen. According to statistics, rural inflation has been observed at 9.91 percent and urban inflation at 8.07 percent in the state.
