The Pakistan cricket team is about to come to India to play the World Cup 2023, in such a situation, the Ministry of External Affairs has made it clear that the Pakistan cricket team will be treated in the same way as the rest of the teams. Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Arindam Bagchi gave this answer on a question asked about this during the press conference on Friday.
The Pakistan government last week confirmed that it will send its national team to India to play in the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup. The World Cup is going to start in India from 5th October to 19th November. In the past few years, Pakistan's participation in the World Cup was under doubt due to the strained relations between the governments of the two countries, but now the situation is clear.
To a question on Pakistan team coming to India, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said, "We have seen reports regarding the participation of Pakistan cricket team in the upcoming ICC World Cup to be hosted by India. Will be treated like any other country participating in the ICC World Cup."
Let us tell you that the match between India and Pakistan was earlier to be held in Ahmedabad on Sunday, 15 October but this match has been shifted a day earlier and now this match will be held on Saturday, 14 October at the same venue. As a result, England's match against Afghanistan in Delhi will now be played 24 hours later, on Sunday, 15 October.
