There is a danger of zero session in many engineering colleges of UP. All these colleges belong to AKTU. The process of admission in about 300 colleges affiliated to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University has not yet started, due to which these engineering colleges are in danger. On August 21, the Supreme Court has dismissed a petition filed by the university in this regard.
Now SLP has been filed again by the university. What will happen next, it will be decided on the stand of the Supreme Court. It is believed that the Supreme Court will give relief in the interest of the students, but there is a danger that once the petition has been dismissed. The Supreme Court reprimanded AKTU last time also in the same matter.
Why is there a danger of zero session?
Please tell that the colleges in which there is a danger of session becoming zero, their colleges have not been affiliated with AKTU. This work should have been done by July 31, which has not happened yet. Except Madan Mohan Malviya Technical University, Gorakhpur, HBTU Kanpur, admission has not formally started in any government and private engineering college, management college of Uttar Pradesh. If permission is not granted then this session will be void.
this is also a problem
On the other hand, the second problem is that the institutes which have taken approval of new courses from AICTE have decided to discontinue the old courses. It has been decided to increase or decrease the seats. All that will prove to be meaningless as no decision has been taken by AKTU in this regard. Affiliation rules include that AKTU issues letter of affiliation after approval from AICTE and this is a regular annual process. Despite this, there has been a delay.
Many colleges do not have recognition, yet took admission
Most of the private institutions have taken admission in the hope of getting affiliation. The students have also deposited the fees. Studies have also started in many colleges. If there is no affiliation in this way, then a big problem will arise in front of the students along with the colleges. AKTU's Lucknow campus will also not remain untouched by this.
There is danger not only in private but also in government colleges
There are more than a dozen government engineering colleges affiliated to AKTU in UP. Till now they are also in silence. It is expected that even if permission is granted from the Supreme Court, this time the seats here will remain vacant. Yes, the credibility of the colleges which have taken admission will definitely be saved.
Which courses will be affected?
If affiliation is not allowed, it will affect many courses, including B.Tech, B.Des, B.Arch, MBA, BeachMTC and many other courses. The date of affiliation was fixed by AICTE as 31st July. Universities across the country are following this deadline but AKTU often lags behind in this matter. This will not affect BPharma as the Pharmacy Council of India has fixed September 30 as the date of affiliation for pharmacy colleges.
