This farmer earned Rs 1.5 crore from strawberry cultivation, this is how it is beneficial

Kisna first started strawberry cultivation with 2 bighas of land. But when there was profit, he kept on increasing the area under strawberry. Right now he is growing strawberries in many bighas by taking land on rent.

Now farmers in Uttar Pradesh are doing horticulture on a large scale instead of traditional farming. Some are cultivating green vegetables, while some are cultivating mushrooms and papaya. Due to this many farmers have become millionaires. The special thing is that many farmers in UP have now started cultivating foreign crops as well, due to which they are earning lakhs of rupees in a year. One of these farmers is Safiq Bhai, who is a resident of Bhopa in Muzaffarnagar district. Safiq Bhai is earning big money by growing strawberries for the last 10 years.

Safiq Bhai is doing strawberry farming near Ganganahar in Muradnagar. He says that earlier he used to cultivate strawberries in 11 bighas of land. This made him a lot of profit. After this, he made a plan to increase its area. Now he is growing strawberries by taking 40 bighas of land on rent. The special thing is that they also sell strawberries themselves. For the last 10 years, he is setting up a strawberry stall on the road in front of his farm. Not only nearby, people from other districts also come to his stall to buy strawberries.

Strawberry crop is ready in 6 months

According to Safiq Bhai, there is a lot of hard work in strawberry farming. Despite this the profits are high. Till now he has earned more than one crore rupees by selling strawberries. Safiq says that he is doing strawberry cultivation in a modern way. He is growing strawberries through mulching. Safiq said that he transplants strawberries every year in October-November. It takes 6 months to get ready for the strawberry crop. But, due to excessive rains, its crop also gets damaged. That's why there should be a good drainage system in the strawberry field.

Have earned so many crores

Although, Safiq Bhai used to cultivate green vegetables earlier, but he did not get that much profit in it. Once his elder brother had gone to Himachal Pradesh for some work. Here he saw the cultivation of strawberries. After this, after coming home, he started cultivating strawberries. The special thing is that Safiq Bhai first started the cultivation of strawberries in 2 bighas. When it earned well, their morale increased. After this he increased its area to 5 bighas. Similarly, gradually the area reached 11 bighas. Safiq Bhai has so far earned Rs 1.50 crore from strawberry cultivation.

There is a profit of one lakh rupees

He cultivates the Camrose variety of strawberry. Along with this, they sell strawberries for 200 rupees per kg. Safiq Bhai sells strawberries in bulk at Rs 100-125 per kg in the mandis of Delhi and Meerut. He says that 6000 strawberries are planted in one bigha. A plant of Camrose is available for 6 to 8 rupees. In this way, cultivation of strawberry in one bigha costs 70 to 75 thousand rupees. Whereas, after 6 months there is a profit of one lakh rupees.
