A unique incident was witnessed during the 16th match of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) when R.K. Dambulla Aura face Colombo Strikers at the Premadasa Stadium. Experienced Pakistani fast bowler Hasan Ali, playing for Dambulla, dismissed compatriot Babar Azam in the sixth over of the Strikers' innings but did not celebrate the wicket.
Batting first, Dambulla scored 166 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs and set the Strikers a target of 167 runs to win but the Strikers' openers Pathum Nissanka and Babar Azam were dismissed early. While Nissanka got out after scoring 12 runs in 8 balls, Babar Azam gave his wicket to compatriot Hasan Ali.
We have seen Hasan Ali celebrating in unique style after taking a wicket but when he got Babar out, he didn't celebrate and his gesture caught everyone's attention. After the match, he was also asked why he didn't celebrate Babar Azam's wicket, to which he replied that he is his captain and respects him a lot.
