The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Indian team for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023. Jasprit Bumrah, Shreyas Iyer, Pramukh Krishna and KL Rahul are back in the squad for the Asia Cup. While young Tilak Verma has also been given a chance in the team. The BCCI selectors have once again surprised by not picking Yuzvendra Chahal in the team.
After announcing the Indian team, BCCI chief selector Ajit Agarkar and Indian team captain Rohit Sharma addressed a press conference together in which Hitman Sharma answered many questions from the reporters while having fun. Meanwhile, a reporter asked Rohit a question about the lack of all-rounders in the team, to which the Hitman replied in a way that made even Ajit Agarkar laugh.
"We can't teach anyone bowling overnight but hopefully Sharma and Kohli (Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli) will be seen bowling to some extent in the World Cup," Rohit said on the less bowling options in the team.
