We would have got India all out for 180 runs... Shahid Afridi made a big statement about the defeat in the 2011 World Cup

Former Pakistan team captain Shahid Afridi has given a shocking reaction to the defeat of Team India in the 2011 World Cup semi-finals. He said that Pakistan's bowling was very good in that match and we should have bowled out the Indian team for 180 runs but our fielding was very poor in that match.

The Indian team defeated Pakistan by 29 runs in the semi-finals of the 2011 World Cup. In that match, Sachin Tendulkar scored 85 runs in 115 balls with the help of 11 fours. In the semi-final match played in Mohali, India had scored 260 runs at the loss of 9 wickets while batting first, in response Pakistan's team was reduced to 231 runs in 49.5 overs. Misbah-ul-Haq played an inning of 56 runs for Pakistan. However, he was also criticized for playing slow in the beginning.

Our fielding was very poor - Shahid Afridi

Shahid Afridi has given a big statement regarding the defeat in that match. During a program on Pakistan's Sama TV, Shahid Afridi said,

I was the captain of Pakistan in the 2011 World Cup. Our bowling was tremendous in that match against India. Wahab Riaz bowled a very good spell and we had to bowl India out for 180 but we couldn't do it. The reason for this was that our fielding was very bad. Fielding is very important in cricket. We dropped 5-6 catches and can't expect to get India all out for 180 after that. After this the Indian team made a big score. We got off to a good start with the bat. Misbah-ul-Haq played very well throughout the World Cup. He was criticized a lot for his slow innings in this match but he thought that he would cover these runs later. However, he could not do so due to the continuous fall of wickets.
