GenZ Generation: People born in the last several decades faced many problems at different times and saw many big movements. Different names were also given to all these generations, today's youngest generation is known as Gen-Z. In which youths from 11 years to 26 years come. Now many concerns are being expressed about this generation. This generation is being said to be the generation living in the most depression.
For those born between 1997 and 2012, the term Gen-Z is used. The Millennial term is used for the earlier generation i.e. people born between 1981 and 1996.
Impact on mental health
According to the Pew Research Center, about 70 percent of Gen-Z youth are victims of depression. The reason for this has been given to the rapidly changing things. Along with this, it has been said that due to the rapidly falling Moral Social Standard, many youths are also falling prey to depression and anxiety. According to the report, only 45 percent of Gen-Z believe that their mental health is fine. Talking about the previous generation, 56 percent of Millennials have a very good mental health, while 51 percent of the previous generation Gen-X and 70 percent of Boomers described their mental health as fine.
Digital overload is becoming the reason
Many studies have also claimed that apart from mental health, financial security is also going to be a big challenge for Gen-Z. It has been said in the study that people of this generation face difficulties in finding the purpose of their life. The reason for this has been attributed to digital overloading. Apart from this, Gen-G starts feeling bad about his life after spending more time on social media and seeing the luxurious life of influencers.
According to the global survey, one in five high school students admitted that they have thoughts of suicide, while it was told in the survey that 8.9 high school Gen-G said that they have attempted suicide. Depression and mental health were said to be the reason behind this.
