For the past few days, many survey companies have made predictions about the arrival of new jobs. Some are predicting 60 thousand and some 50 thousand jobs. Nearly 47 per cent recruiters predict new and replacement hiring, 26 per cent expect only new job creation and 20 per cent say they plan to expand their workforce in the coming six months, according to Jobs' Hiring Outlook survey. Nearly 70 percent of the recruiters surveyed expect the attrition rate to remain below 15 percent in the coming six months. At the same time, some people believe that the rate of leaving the job can be 40 percent or more. These expectations on attrition trends indicate that employees will continue with their current job profiles amidst the uncertainties of the current job market. Business development, marketing, operational and HR roles as well as professionals with mid-level experience are expected to see the highest attrition rate.
Salary hike in first half of 2023
Most of the recruiters surveyed remained cautious about salary hikes offered by their organizations during the last valuation cycle, with 42 percent of recruiters saying their companies offered less than 10 percent salary hikes, and 31 percent of recruiters disclosing that their organizations Has increased salary. Only 6 percent of the recruiters surveyed said that more than 30 percent salary hike was done in the last valuation cycle.
Campus hiring trends
According to the survey, around 36 per cent recruiters indicated campus hiring to go ahead as per current plans, 11 per cent expected campus hiring to increase over the next six months, while 39 per cent recruiters indicated a halt to campus hiring.
