15 conventions and 13 meeting halls, 'Yashobhoomi' is bigger than Bharat Mandapam, PM Modi will give gift on his birthday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to give a big gift to the countrymen on his birthday on 17th September. On his 73rd birthday on Sunday, PM Modi will inaugurate a world-class convention center named 'Yashobhoomi' in Dwarka, Delhi. Formally its name will be International Convention and Expo Center (IICC). This ambitious project of the government is spread over 221 acres. Equipped with modern technologies and features, it is one of the largest exhibition halls in the world.

According to the information, during this time a new metro station will also be inaugurated inside IICC-Dwarka Sector 25 station. This new metro station will be connected to Delhi Airport Metro Express Line. This will significantly reduce the travel time between New Delhi Metro station and IICC.

Metro will run at a speed of 120 kilometers

Currently, metro trains on Delhi Metro Airport Express Line run at a speed of 90 kilometers per hour, but the special thing is that trains on this line will run at a speed of 120 kilometers per hour. This will be the maximum speed till date. Because of this, the total journey from New Delhi to Yashobhoomi Dwarka Sector 25 will take only about 21 minutes.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation officials said trains have been running at a speed of 90 kilometers per hour on the Airport Express Line since its inception in February 2011. But now the metro will run at its maximum speed of 120 kilometers per hour.

However, earlier this year, testing was started to run metro trains at faster speed. Metro officials said that in the last few months, trains have been running at a speed of 110 km per hour.

There will be a big exhibition hall in Yashobhoomi

Prime Minister Modi had laid the foundation of Yashobhoomi i.e. IICC on 19 September 2018. This project worth Rs 25,700 crore is spread over 221 acres of land. There is a big exhibition hall inside it which is one of the largest exhibition halls in the world. The exhibition hall of Yashobhoomi will be equipped with modern facilities and arrangements. Spread over 73,000 square meters, this hall has 15 conference rooms, including the main auditorium, grand ballroom and 13 meeting rooms. It can accommodate 11,000 guests.

The convention center has a seating capacity of about 6,000 guests. The seating arrangements here have been modernly designed. The capacity of the ballroom here is 2,500 guests, which can be increased for 500 more guests if needed.
