24 year old Naveen Ul Haq announced his retirement from ODI, will say goodbye after the World Cup

 


Afghanistan's 24-year-old fast bowler Naveen-ul-Haq has announced that he will retire from the 50-over format after the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. He gave this information through Instagram. Before Naveen, South African wicketkeeper batsman Quinton de Kock has announced that he will say goodbye to the 50 over format after the World Cup. 

He posted on Instagram along with a picture of himself and wrote that in order to prolong his career, he has decided to retire from the 50-over format. He thanked the Afghanistan Cricket Board and his fans for their support. His decision is surprising. Let us tell you that right-arm fast bowler Naveen is playing in franchise cricket all over the world and is leaving his mark. 

Naveen-ul-Haq also participated in the Indian Premier League 2023 where he was seen playing for Lucknow Supergiants. This was the same time when he had a clash with Indian batsman Virat Kohli while playing against Royal Challengers Bangalore and both were seen fighting with each other. The fight between these two had made a lot of headlines on social media. Naveen played 8 matches in IPL 2023 and dismissed 11 batsmen with an economy rate of 7.82. During this period, his best bowling performance has been taking 4 wickets for 38 runs.
