3rd ODI: On the basis of brilliant performance by Milne and Young, New Zealand defeated Bangladesh by 7 wickets, won the series 2-0.

 


New Zealand defeated Bangladesh by 7 wickets in the last match of the three-match series with the help of Adam Milne's brilliant bowling and Will Young's half-century. With this New Zealand won the series 2-0. The first match was canceled due to rain. In the third match played at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka, Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat first. 

Batting first, Bangladesh was all out for 171 in 34.3 overs. Captain Shanto scored the most runs for Bangladesh. Facing 84 balls, he played a half-century inning of 76 runs with the help of 10 fours. Apart from him, Mahmudullah scored 21 runs in 27 balls with the help of 2 fours. Adam Milne took maximum 4 wickets for the Kiwi team. Apart from them, Trent Boult and Cole McConchie got 2 wickets each. Rachin Ravindra and Lockie Ferguson were successful in taking one wicket each. 

Chasing the target, the New Zealand team won the match by losing 3 wickets and scoring 175 runs in 34.5 overs. Will Young scored the most runs for the Kiwi team. He played a half-century of 70 runs in 80 balls with the help of 10 fours and one six. Apart from him, Henry Nicholls scored unbeaten 50 runs in 86 balls with the help of 4 fours and one six. Young and Nicholls made a match-winning partnership of 81 (118). Shoriful Islam took maximum 2 wickets for Bangladesh. One wicket went to Nasum Ahmed's account.
