The name of this young farmer is Maninder Singh Sandar. He is a resident of Hoshiarpur, Punjab. Earlier he used to work in New Zealand. But the land of India brought him back. Now Maninder Singh has come to Sandar village and is cultivating dragon fruit. He has also got success in its cultivation. However, dragon fruit is not generally cultivated in Punjab. In such a situation, Maninder had to face a lot of difficulties in starting its cultivation. But despite this he did not give up and continued working hard.

Started its cultivation with the help of YouTube

The special thing is that Maninder Singh is cultivating dragon fruit after watching it from YouTube. For the last three years, he has been growing dragon fruit on his ancestral land, from which he is earning lakhs of rupees. Maninder Singh said that earlier he used to work in New Zealand. The package there was also good. But despite this he wanted to do something different. One day he got information about dragon fruit cultivation on social media. After this, after talking to experts, it came to light that it can be cultivated in Punjab. After this Maninder Singh left his job and came back and started cultivating it.

Have to spend Rs 5 lakh

According to Maninder Singh, dragon fruit is sown between February and March. Production starts after one year. However, production of edible fruits starts only after the second year of sowing. If you cultivate dragon fruit in one acre, it will cost up to Rs 5 lakh. Maninder Singh told that he is earning lakhs of rupees from dragon fruit cultivation. He said that dragon fruit is beneficial for dengue patients.
