After the stormy innings of Bairstow-Brooke, Atkinson wreaked havoc with the ball, England defeated New Zealand in the second T20I.



England defeated New Zealand by 95 runs in the second T20 International with the help of Bairstow-Brooke's half-century and debutant Gus Atkinson's 4 wickets. For the Kiwi team, only Tim Seifert was able to score runs against the England bowlers. Apart from him, no other batsman could stay at the crease for long. 

Batting first, England scored 198 runs losing 4 wickets in 20 overs. Jonny Bairstow scored the most runs for the team. He played an unbeaten half-century of 86 runs in 60 balls with the help of 8 fours and 4 sixes. Harry Brook faced 36 balls and played a half-century inning of 67 runs with the help of 5 fours and 5 sixes. Bairstow and Brook made a century partnership of 131 (65) runs. 

Ish Sodhi took maximum 2 wickets for Kiwi team. Captain Tim Southee and Mitchell Santner got one wicket each. 

Chasing the target, the New Zealand team got piled on the score of 103 in 13.5 overs. Tim Seifert scored the most runs for the team. He faced 31 balls and played an inning of 39 runs with the help of 4 fours. Glenn Phillips contributed 22 runs in 15 balls with the help of 3 fours.

Debutant Gus Atkinson took the maximum 4 wickets for England. Adil Rashid took 2 wickets. Brayden Carse, Sam Curran, Liam Livingstone and Will Jack managed to take one wicket each.
