After the defeat in the Karnataka Assembly elections, everything is not going well in the state BJP. Many party leaders are angry. This includes those who have considerable influence in the politics of the state. BJP is afraid that these leaders may switch sides and join the Congress camp and this is the reason why it is alert through 'Haath' operation and is in touch with angry leaders. The leaders who are angry with the leadership of the state BJP are ST Somashekhar and Shivram Hebbar.
Somashekhar and Shivram Hebbar are in touch with Congress. Somashekhar has even met Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar. Somashekhar has expressed his unhappiness over the way the party is functioning. After the elections, he had also complained about some party leaders. It is alleged that those leaders had worked against Somashekhar in the elections, but then BJP had not taken any action on Somashekhar's complaint. Now that ST Somashekhar has met the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister, BJP has also become active and has suspended some workers of his constituency.
Meanwhile, Siddaramaiah and Shivkumar have also visited Somashekhar's constituency and also shared the stage with the BJP MLA. The Congress government released Rs 7 crore for the development of Somashekhar area.
At the same time, to ensure that things do not get worse, many BJP leaders are talking to ST Somashekhar. Former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai spoke to ST Somashekhar and assured him of action and asked him not to take any decision in haste.
Shivram Hebbar and these leaders are also angry
It is not just about ST Somashekhar's displeasure. Shivram Hebbar is also unhappy with the party. Yellpur MLA Shivram had complained about those BJP workers who had worked against him in the elections. Like ST, Hebbar has also met the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister. The interesting thing is that Hebbar has also met DK Shivakumar's brother DK Suresh. These meetings gave rise to debate in BJP.
Meanwhile, senior BJP leader and former speaker Vishwevar Hegde met Shivram Hebbar. Let us tell you that ST Somashekhar and Shivram Hebbar have come to BJP from Congress. BJP's problem does not end here only. Pradeep Shettar, brother of former Chief Minister of the state and veteran BJP leader Jagadish Shettar, is also blaming the Karnataka BJP leadership. He said that the party is not giving importance to the leaders of Lingayat community.
Pradeep Shettar said that the reason behind BJP losing the elections is the sidelining of Lingayat leaders from the party. He urged the party leadership to give prominence to the Lingayat community. Senior BJP leader and close aide of former state CM Yediyurappa and former MP Renukacharya has also targeted the leadership of Karnataka BJP. He attacked BJP's national general secretary BL Santosh for his defeat in the elections.
Renukacharya said that the 'so-called ji' wants to become the Chief Minister of Karnataka. He is trying to give importance to his disciples. He sidelined Yediyurappa without any reason. He has sidelined all the Lingayat leaders and this was the major reason for his defeat in the elections. After the defeat in the assembly elections, BJP is facing difficult times. He further says that state BJP President Nalin Kumar is no longer taking major decisions and he will resign in the coming days. The leader of the opposition has not been elected in the House yet.
