Along with Ganpati immersion, Lord Vishnu is also worshiped on the day of Anant Chaturdashi. It is believed that by worshiping Lord Vishnu with a true heart and observing a fast on this day, one gets relief from all troubles.
The celebration of Ganesh Utsav, which started from the Chaturthi date of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month, continues across the country. This festival, celebrated as Ganesh Janmotsav, is celebrated for 10 days and on the day of Chaturdashi, Bappa is bid farewell. Shukla Paksha Chaturdashi date of Bhadrapada month is known as Anant Chaturdashi and Ganesh Utsav ends on this day. After worshiping Bappa as per rituals for 10 days, on the day of Anant Chaturdashi, he is bid farewell with the wish that he will visit his house again next year.
Chaturdashi tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month will start at 10.18 pm on 27th September and will continue till 06.49 pm the next day i.e. 28th September. According to Udayatithi, Anant Chaturdashi will be celebrated on 28th September. Along with Ganesh immersion, the day of Anant Chaturdashi is also dedicated to Lord Vishnu. In such a situation, the auspicious time of worship on this day is 12 hours 37 minutes which will start at 06:12 in the morning and will continue till 06:49 in the evening.
Auspicious time for Ganpati immersion
There are also three auspicious times for Ganpati immersion. The first is from 06:11 am to 07:00 am, the second is from 10:42 am to 03:10 pm and the third is from 04:41 pm to 09:10 pm.
Anant Chaturdashi has great importance in Hindu religion. It is believed that on this day Lord Vishnu had created 14 worlds. Due to this, there is a tradition to worship Lord Vishnu on this day. It is also said that whoever fasts on this day by meditating on God with true heart, gets freedom from all troubles and all diseases are cured. Apart from this, fasting on Anant Chaturdashi is considered very beneficial to get rid of financial problems and to stay away from family troubles.
Anant Chaturdashi worship method
Wake up early in the morning, take bath and wear clean clothes. After this, sprinkle Ganga water in the entire house including the puja room. After this, place a stool at the place of worship, spread a yellow cloth on it and install the idol or picture of Lord Vishnu. After this, worship them by offering incense, lamp, naivedya, perfume and sandalwood and finally perform aarti and chant mantras. After this, also offer Anant Sutra to Lord Vishnu.
