The role of army in Pakistan's politics is well known. It is said that both the condition and direction of Pakistan are decided by the army. In the journey of 75 years of independence, the country's army ruled for the maximum time. The army has always interfered in Pakistan and its politics. Now Pakistan's acting Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar has made an important comment on the role of Pakistani Army.
Explaining the role of the army in Pakistan, Kakar said that the country's army will maintain its hold on political matters until the civil dispensation institutions are strengthened. The army has so far done excellent work in matters of security and foreign policy. Acting Prime Minister Kakar said these things in an interview given to Turkey's public broadcaster news channel.
Governments formed alliance with army for benefits
Kakar also made special comments on the relationship between the Pakistani Army and civilians. “Personally, I see the civil-military relationship as a pure government structure,” he said. Taking aim at other governments, Kakar said that all the governments have made alliance with the military establishment for their own benefit. But after being out of power, they start criticizing the army and blame it for their failure.
America removed Imran from power?
The PM also suggested measures to reduce the role of the army in the country. He said if one really wants the military to have less interference in the state, then we need to increase the capacity of civil institutions. There was an alleged US conspiracy behind the ouster of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan from power. However, Kakar has rejected these claims.
Let us tell you that Imran Khan was ousted from power in April 2022 after losing the no-confidence vote. After this he alleged that America hatched such a conspiracy because of his government's independent foreign policy decisions.
