Batting Ravindra Jadeja... Gautam Gambhir upset with Jadeja's performance, gave this statement before the World Cup

Cricket World Cup is going to start from 5th October for which all the teams have geared up. Meanwhile, former Indian team batsman Gautam Gambhir has given a statement on the team's star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. Actually, Gambhir is a little disappointed with Jadeja's performance in the Asia Cup and he believes that Jadeja should perform a little better for the team as a batsman.

Speaking on Star Sports, Gambhir said, 'We know that Jadeja can bowl 10 overs on any pitch on any day. He is a wonderful fielder, but he has to contribute better as a batsman at number 7, because you cannot field with just six batsmen.

He further said, 'If Ishan Kishan plays at number 5, there are question marks there too. So Ravindra Jadeja will have to win the match with the bat, because you can have a situation where you have to score 80 or 90 runs in 10 overs and No. 6 and No. 7 batsmen are playing together.

Let us tell you that even though the Indian team may have been crowned the winner in the Asia Cup 2023, Ravindra Jadeja's performance during this period was not as special as the expectations. Jadeja played 6 matches for the team and took a total of 6 wickets in the tournament. While batting, he added only 25 runs in three innings. This is the reason why this statement of Gautam Gambhir has now come to light.

Let us tell you that the World Cup 2023 is to start from October 5. The first match of this tournament will be played between the current champion England and the previous World Cup runner-up team New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Indian team will play its first match in the tournament with Australia which will be held on October 8 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
