Ways to remove bitterness of bitter gourd

1. Mix salt and keep for some time

To reduce the bitterness of bitter gourd, cut it and sprinkle salt on it. After about 15-20 minutes, throw away the water that comes out of the bitter gourd. This would have reduced its sharpness a lot.

2. Before frying, put bitter gourd in honey or sugar water.

Before frying the bitter gourd, add honey or sugar as per requirement to water in a vessel and put the bitter gourd in it. After this, if you fry the bitter gourd and eat it, its spiciness might have been reduced due to honey or sugar.

3. Place bitter gourd in curd

To reduce the bitterness of bitter gourd, soak it in curd for some time. After some time, wash the bitter gourd thoroughly with water. After this, making bitter gourd curry will reduce its spiciness.

4. Marinate bitter gourd with coconut water

The bitterness of bitter gourd can also be reduced by using coconut water i.e. juice. Marinate bitter gourd in coconut water and then leave it in it for 15-20 minutes. After some time, wash it thoroughly and then use it. This will reduce the bitterness of the bitter gourd.
