The opposition Labor Party had raised questions when Study Hall, an edtech firm in which Catamaran has a stake, received a grant of 3.5 lakh pounds from Innovate UK last year. Also, there was a lot of controversy when it came to light that Akshata had invested in Koru Kids, a child care company, and it was benefiting from the British government's budget scheme.
