Canada's love for Khalistani, accused India of Nijjar massacre, expelled Indian diplomat

Investigation of Hardeep Singh Nijjar murder case

Speaking in the House of Commons in Ottawa, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that Canadian security agencies are actively investigating a possible connection between Indian government agents and the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a Canadian citizen. Trudeau said that he had also raised this issue with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the G20 summit.

Indian government should cooperate with Canada

The Canadian Prime Minister said that Canada has conveyed its deep concerns to top intelligence security officials of the Indian government. He said that in the strongest terms I urge the Government of India to cooperate with Canada to get to the bottom of this matter.

Trudeau said he knows some members of the Indo-Canadian community feel intimidated, and called for calm. Hardeep Singh Nijjar shot dead

Hardeep Singh Nijjar, wanted by the Government of India, was killed in a shootout on June 18 this year. Nijjar was shot dead outside a Gurudwara. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh on Nijjar after he was accused of conspiring to murder a Hindu priest in Jalandhar, Punjab in 2022. The conspiracy to murder the priest was hatched by Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF). Nijjar, who lives in Canada, was the chief of KTF.

Khalistan extremism discussed in G20 summit

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told a press conference at the G20 summit in Delhi on September 10 that he and Prime Minister Narendra Modi had discussed Khalistani extremism and foreign interference during their meeting on the sidelines of the summit. He had said that in the last few years we have discussed those issues with PM Modi many times.

Violence against Indian diplomats

Soon after, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's office said that the PM had expressed his deep concern to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau about the anti-India activities being carried out by extremist elements in Canada. He (Prime Minister Modi) conveyed our strong concerns about the continuation of anti-India activities by extremist elements in Canada. They are promoting separatism and inciting violence against Indian diplomats, damaging diplomatic premises, and threatening the Indian community and their places of worship in Canada.
