Well-known Tamil film actor Vishal has accused two officials of the Mumbai office of the Censor Board of taking a bribe of Rs 6.5 lakh in exchange for passing the film. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting seems to be strict in this matter and has said that an officer will be sent to Mumbai to investigate the allegations.
This matter started gaining momentum on Friday, a day after Vishal's tweet. Many celebs had described the allegations as serious. Now the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has tweeted and said about investigation. The ministry tweeted, “The issue of corruption raised by actor Vishal in CBFC is very unfortunate. A senior officer of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is being sent to Mumbai today itself, so that investigation can be done.”
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has said in its statement that other people, with whom such incidents have happened through CBFC, can give information about those incidents on jsfilms.inb@nic.in.
