Center took a big step before Diwali, this time inflation will not hurt during the festival

On September 15, Food Secretary Sanjeev Chopra had said that there is no shortage of sugar in the country. There will be bumper supply of sugar in the market even during the festive season. According to him, the sugar stock in the country is quite good. Whereas, the state and central governments are jointly conducting raids against hoarding.

The festive season has started in the country with Ganesh Chaturthi. Durga Puja will be celebrated next month. After this there is Dhanteras and Diwali in November. During this time, people will do a lot of shopping all over the country. Apart from this, we will also eat tasty and delicious dishes during festivals. Consumption of flour, sugar and pulses increases especially during the festive season. In such a situation, due to increase in demand, the prices of food items in the retail market also increase, due to which the kitchen budget of the common people gets spoiled. But this time the central government has already made preparations to deal with inflation.

In particular, the government has taken several steps to stop the rise in sugar prices. To control the rising prices of sugar, the Central Government has also given instructions to declare its stock limit. This means that after pulses and wheat, now traders and shopkeepers will not be able to stock sugar more than the fixed limit. If they are found doing so, legal action can also be taken against them.

Central government will release 13 lakh tonnes of sugar

According to the information, the Center has ordered sugar wholesalers and retailers to declare sugar stock every week. Besides, the Central Government has also announced to sell sugar in the market on its own. It has said that in October it will release a quota of 13 lakh tonnes of sugar, so that the price of sugar remains stable during Durga Puja and Diwali. There should be no impact on inflation after demand increases.

Sugar crossed Rs 4000 per quintal

In fact, since the arrival of monsoon, there has been an increase in the price of sugar in the last few months. Especially in Delhi, the price of sugar has increased by Rs 2 per kg. At the same time, the price of sugar in the wholesale market has crossed Rs 4000 per quintal.
