An application was filed in the Supreme Court demanding instructions to build a wall on Ram Setu. Ashok Pandey, president of an organization named Hindu Personal Law Board, has filed a petition in the Supreme Court. The petition has demanded instructions to build a wall on Ram Setu a few meters into the sea and if possible up to one kilometer. It was said in the petition that an organization named Hindu Personal Law Board works for the protection of personal law and religious rights of Hindus.
The petition said that the bridge is generally known as Shri Ram Setu and only the darshan of the bridge guarantees salvation. The petition said that the present Indian government claims to be working on the agenda of bringing Ram Raj, which is not possible unless the darshan of Ram Setu is managed by erecting a wall.
The petition said that during 2004 to 2014, the political party leaders of the country's government were so anti-national and anti-Hindu that they had given green signal to the dredging machine for the work of dismantling Shri Ram Setu.
Petition to build a wall on Ram Setu
It has also been said in the petition that by building a wall on Ram Setu, the wishes of crores of Ram devotees of the country will be fulfilled. It says that if permission is given to build the wall, they will be able to walk on the historical and mythological bridge on which Lord Rama went to Lanka with his monkey army. Ram went there and killed Ravana and established Ram Raj.
It has been said in the petition that it has been argued that the government is not making arrangements for the darshan of Ram Setu. In this way the government is violating the fundamental rights given by Articles 14, 21 and 25 of the Constitution.
Ram Sethu is very important for Hindus, mentioning this in the petition in the Supreme Court, it has been said that the importance of bathing in Ram Setu has been described in detail in the texts like Skandha Purana, Agni Purana, Ramayana, Vishnu Purana etc.

The petition states that it is possible to build a wall on Ram Setu, because there is only 4 to 40 feet of water on Ram Setu from beginning to end. With the construction of the wall on Ram Sethu, people from all over the world will be able to go to Dhanushkoti (Rameshwaram) to visit the bridge.
Let us tell you that former BJP Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy had filed a petition in the Supreme Court demanding recognition of Ram Setu as a historical monument.
On this, the Supreme Court had sought an answer from the Central Government on Ram Setu. Then the Central Government said that the process of declaring Ram Setu as a National Heritage Monument is going on in the Ministry of Culture.
