Dev Anand, the evergreen actor of Hindi films, has a very deep relationship with Pakistan. From birth to college education, everything happened in Lahore, Pakistan. However, after India's independence in 1947, the actor came to India and started his acting career by staying in Mumbai. But, his ancestral home was in Lahore only. Dev Anand once went to Pakistan after 55 years. Dev Anand visited all those places for which he had deep attachment. He was very emotional remembering his old days. Dev Anand writes in his book “Romancing with Life” that when he reached Pakistan from Wagga, he saw a lot of changes there in so many years. But seeing the cannon kept on the Mall Road, he remembered his old days and Dev Anand understood that now his college was about to come.

Dev Anand cried bitterly

When Dev Anand reached his college he became emotional. As soon as he saw the campus buildings and classrooms, Dev Anand started remembering his past days. After reaching the college, Dev Anand hugged the pillar in the corridor and started crying bitterly. Because, the actor had a deep connection with that pillar. Actually, Dev Anand used to chat with his friends there during his college studies. Whenever he was alone, he used to chat with the same pillar. Not only this, seeing this pillar he was also reminded of his first love.

Veteran Bollywood actor Dev Anand was born on 26 September 1923 in Pakistan. His education was also from the neighboring country Pakistan. After graduating from Government College, Lahore, Dev Anand went to Bombay in 1943. He wanted to do Masters in English Literature but his father's financial condition was not that good. Then, he left for Mumbai in search of a job and later Dev Anand started his career in acting. His acting was liked so much that he is still alive in the hearts of people. Dev Anand, who has done many brilliant films, left his indelible mark in Indian cinema.
