Today the country has received a big gift from the Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. The first bus running on hydrogen in the country has been flagged off by Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. Initially only two buses have been launched as a trial. These hydrogen buses will travel a distance of 3 lakh kilometres. This means that these hydrogen-powered buses will be able to travel more than 300 kilometers at a time.

Decision on fleet will be taken after driving 3 lakh kilometers

At present, these hydrogen buses are being run in Delhi, after completing their journey of three lakh kilometers, a plan has been prepared to start more hydrogen buses in the country.

Relief from pollution

Obviously, pollution is continuously increasing due to petrol and diesel vehicles. In an initiative to stop this, the first buses running on hydrogen have been introduced in the country. Meanwhile, focus is also being placed on electric vehicles, vehicles running on ethanol and other alternative fuels.

Actually green hydrogen is prepared from renewable energy sources. There is less pollution in its preparation and use, that is why it is known as low-carbon fuel. In the coming twenty years, India will become a country that demands 25 percent of the world's energy. After the use of alternative fuel, our country will be at the forefront in the export of green hydrogen in the coming time.

Not only this, global hydrogen demand may increase four to seven times by the year 2050. Apart from this, the demand for domestic green hydrogen is expected to reach 28 metric tons.
