Taiwanese giant Foxconn, which makes iPhone parts, has once again expressed confidence in India's Make in India and praised Prime Minister Modi. He has said that India's Make in India project has opened new investment opportunities here.

World's leading semiconductor and electronics company Foxconn has increased its focus in India. The Taiwanese company that makes parts for Apple has also started preparations to take on China's dragon in EV manufacturing. The company's CEO Young Liu has once again expressed confidence in India's production and Make in India and praised Prime Minister Modi in a recent press conference in Taipei. He has said that India's Make in India project has opened new investment opportunities here. He said that in the coming times, India can emerge as a manufacturing center for the world. Whereas, regarding expanding its business in India, he said that it took 30 years for the company to set up a plant in China but this will not happen in India.

Focus on increasing business in India

Not only this, the company's Chief Young Liu also said that their consumers are increasing and in the coming times, Foxconn can focus on increasing its investment in India. Company Chief Young Liu said that as the needs of consumers are increasing, Foxconn is continuously expanding its presence in India.

Liu also said that if India continues at this pace, it can soon emerge as the world's new manufacturing hub. The company told that it took them about 30 years to build their supply chain in China, but in India this supply chain will be ready more quickly.

The country will develop

This is not the first time that Foxconn Chairman has praised the increasing dependence between India and Taiwan regarding manufacturing. Even before this, he had praised India many times. Even during the Semiconductor Summit held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, the Chairman of Foxconn had said that where there is a will, there is a way. Along with this, Liu had also promised Prime Minister Modi that Taiwan will always remain India's most reliable partner.

New partner found for semiconductor plant

According to a Bloomberg report, Foxconn, a Taiwanese company that manufactures iPhone parts, is now going to form a joint venture with ST Micro Electronics NV. The joint venture of Foxconn Technology Group and ST Micro Electronics NV will set up a semiconductor factory in India. Together, both the companies are going to apply for government help for the 40-nanometer chip plant.
