In Hindu religion, Lord Ganesha has the place of the first worshipable deity. In such a situation, the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is considered very important. Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated as Ganesh Janmotsav. Lord Ganesha was born on the Chaturthi date of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month. This year this date is falling on 19th September. In such a situation, Ganesh Utsav will start from 19th September itself, which will be celebrated with great pomp for the next 10 days and Ganesh immersion will be done on the 11th day.
According to the Panchang, Chaturthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Gana Bhadrapada month is starting on 18th September at 12:39 pm and will continue till 8:00 pm on 19th September. In such a situation, according to Udayatithi, the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated on 19th September. The auspicious time of puja on this day will start from 11.01 am in the morning and will continue till 01.28 pm. That means the auspicious time of puja is only 2 hours 27 minutes.
Importance of Ganesh Chaturthi
Worshiping Lord Ganesha, the god of knowledge, wisdom and happiness and prosperity, brings prosperity in the house. Lord Ganesha also likes banana very much. In such a situation, offer banana on the fourth day of Ganesh Utsav.

On the sixth day of Ganesh Utsav, offer coconut to Lord Ganesha.
On the seventh day, offer dry fruits laddus to Lord Ganesha.
On the eighth day of Ganesh Janmotsav, offer Kalakandha made from milk.
