Gilchrist gave this special advice to India before the World Cup, said- Sachin, Dhoni should come and spend time with the team.

 

The ODI World Cup is starting in India from 5th October. India, which recently won the Asia Cup 2023 title, is being considered as a strong contender for the mega event. Now former Australian wicketkeeper batsman Adam Gilchrist has given special advice to the Indian team. He has said that India should get legendary players like Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni to spend time with the team before the World Cup 2023. 

The former wicket-keeper batsman said, "I can't claim to know what it's like to be an Indian player, to play in India. It's always interesting. If I were in the Indian management, I would be playing with players like Sachin, Dhoni. I would have requested them to come and spend time with the team if they were available, and share their experiences. I would have tried to bring a player like Yuvraj, who had a lot going on in his life during that 2011 tournament, and have him Asks you to speak openly about this."

Gilchrist further said, "Obviously, Virat was a part of the team even though he was not a feature member of the team at that time. I will take advantage of that experience of playing the domestic World Cup and try to find out how he did it. .If you can keep that outside noise quiet, it allows you to play your best cricket."

India is going to host the ODI World Cup for the first time. The team captained by Rohit Sharma will play its first match in the mega event against Australia on October 8 in Chennai. Both the teams have announced their respective teams for the World Cup. These two teams will face each other in a three-match ODI series from September 22 before facing off in the World Cup.
