What were the challenges faced by Larry Page and Sergei Bin?

Both the co-founders of Google faced these problems in the beginning.

Finding the headquarters for Google: Brin and his partner Larry Page faced a lot of difficulties in finding the headquarters for Google. He started Google in a friend's garage in Menlo Park, California, and later became Vice President of the company. In 1998, after much struggle, the company shifted its office to Palo Alto, California with only eight employees.

Funding Problem: Google faced funding problem in the initial years, because Sergey Brin and Larry Page did not have money. Without funding they would not have been able to succeed in building the data servers required for their project. Sun Microsystems co-founder Andy Bechtolsheim supported Google and provided funding of $100,000 (approximately Rs 8.32 crore).

Could not attract investors: Due to lack of business idea and other reasons, Google failed to attract potential investors after 5 years. As a result, the company decided to raise funds from the public and issued an Initial Public Offering (IPO) in August 2004. Warren Buffett supported Google's IPO for future shareholders.

When Google was about to be sold

There came a time when Larry Page and Sergey Brin decided to sell Google. In 1999, an attempt was made to sell Internet portal company Excite to Google for $1 million. However, Excite CEO George Bell did not accept the deal. The company kept fighting the challenges and kept moving forward. Today you can see that Google's parent company Alphabet is one of the largest tech companies in the world.
