Government employees will get bumper gift before Diwali, dearness allowance may increase by 3%

The central government can increase the dearness allowance of government employees. This time there may be a three percent increase in DA of employees. Let us know what the salary of the employees will be after the increase in DA.

Government employees can get a bumper gift before Diwali. The central government can increase the dearness allowance of government employees. This time there may be a three percent increase in DA of employees. At present, 42 percent dearness allowance is being given to government employees and pensioners. In which after 3 percent increase it will reach 45 percent. Along with this, there may also be an increase in DR i.e. dearness relief of government employees. The government may soon announce an increase in DA. In such a situation, government employees and pension holders may get good news before Diwali.

Salary will increase by this much

According to Shiv Gopal Mishra, General Secretary of All India Railwaymen's Federation, if DA is increased this time, it may increase by three percent. He said that we are demanding four percent increase in DA. If the government accepts this, then the DA of central employees will increase to 46 percent. If an employee gets a basic pay of Rs 36,500 every month, then currently his DA is Rs 15,330. If DA is increased by three percent from July 2023, then their DA will increase by Rs 1,095 to Rs 16,425. Along with this, arrears will also be received from July.

So much is due

The central government did not pay DA to its employees during the Corona period for 18 months i.e. between January 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021. Similarly, dearness relief i.e. DR was not paid to pensioners during this period. Its purpose was to reduce the financial burden on the government. Due to this decision, the government had saved Rs 34,402.32 crore. The employees were demanding its payment for a long time. But today the government made it clear that it will not be paid. Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary had given this information in a written reply in the Lok Sabha.
