A woman went to the Honda showroom to buy a car, but little did she know that when she left the showroom, You will be taking home an old car and not a new one.
As soon as the woman came to know that the dealer had sold the old Honda WRV by passing it off as new, she complained about this in the District Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission i.e. Consumer Court.
Know what is the matter
In the complaint filed in the court, this victim woman has accused the dealership and the company of selling old cars instead of new ones. Apart from this, information has also been given in the complaint that within a short time of purchasing the car, the reverse camera stopped working, after which the victim woman realized that the dealer had sold the old car.
When the woman raised her problem with the dealer, she did not get any support from the dealer, after which the woman filed a complaint in the court and filed a petition for refund and compensation.
What do the dealer and the company say?
Cartoq's report has revealed that Lally Motors has denied all these allegations, while on the other hand the company has said that it has nothing to do with the sale of the car.
Court decision
After hearing the arguments, the court ordered the company and the dealer to return Rs 8,77,050 to the woman with 9 percent interest and a compensation amount of Rs 50 thousand. Apart from this, the court has also ordered a separate payment of Rs 10,000 to meet the legal expenses.
