How educated is the first woman chairman of the Railway Board? Know the educational qualification of Jaya Verma.

Jaya Verma Sinha has been appointed Chairman and CEO of Railway Board by the Centre. She is the first woman to be appointed to this post. He has been appointed to this post after the approval of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet. Jaya Sinha has 35 years of experience working in Indian Railways. Till now she was working as Member (Operations and Business Development) in Railway Board. She will now be responsible for overseeing the overall transportation of freight and passenger services.

Please tell that Jaya Verma Sinha will replace Anil Kumar Lahoti as the chairman of the Railway Board. Lohali's tenure has ended on 31 August 2023. Jaya will remain appointed to this post till 31 December 2024. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet had approved the appointment of Jaya Verma Sinha, Indian Railway Management Service (Member Operations and Business Development), Railway Board to the post of Chairman and CEO.

Jaya Sinha has worked as Railway Advisor in the Indian High Commission in Dhaka for four years. During his tenure in Bangladesh, Maitri Express was started between Kolkata and Dhaka. She was also the Divisional Railway Manager of Sealdah Division of Eastern Railway.

She studied at St. Mary's Convent School, Allahabad. He has obtained a bachelor's degree from Allahabad Central University. Sinha started working with the Indian Railways in 1988. He has worked in various roles including operations, information technology, marketing and vigilance during his 35 year career. Jaya Verma Sinha is the first woman to hold this prestigious post. Therefore his appointment is important in the 166 year history of Indian Railways.
