Matar Makhana Recipe: If you are bored of eating Matar Paneer, then you should try something new. People always make Matar Paneer in their homes, but if you are fond of food and want to try something new, then Matar Makhana Sabzi can be a great option for you. Matar Makhana Sabzi is a delicious dish which is a combination of creamy-sweet peas and Makhana Sabzi roasted in spicy tadka. The unique taste of this dish will make your mouth water. If you want, you can serve it with hot rice, soft roti or naan. Matar Makhana vegetable is very easy to prepare and its ingredients are easily available at home. Ingredients:

Makhana - 1 cup

Peas - 1/2 cup (fresh or frozen)

Onion - 1 (finely chopped)

Tomato - 2 (ground)

Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tsp

Green chilli - 1 (finely chopped)

Cream or malai - 1/4 cup (optional)

Garam masala - 1/2 tsp

Turmeric - 1/2 tsp

Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp

Salt - as per taste

Oil or ghee - 2 tbsp

Coriander powder - 1 tsp tsp

cumin - 1/2 tsp

kasoori methi - 1/2 tsp (optional)

Method:

Frying Makhana: Heat some ghee in a pan and fry the Makhana until it turns golden. put aside. 

Tadka: Heat oil or ghee in the same pan, add cumin seeds. Add onion, ginger-garlic paste and green chilli and fry.

Add tomatoes: When the onion becomes golden, add ground tomatoes, turmeric, red chili powder, and coriander powder and fry well.

Add peas and makhana: Once the masala is roasted well, add peas and makhana.

Water and salt: Now add water, add salt as per taste and cook for 10-12 minutes.

Add cream: When the peas and makhana are cooked well, add the cream or cream and cook for 2-3 more minutes.

Garam Masala: Finally add garam masala and kasoori methi and mix well. 

Serve: Serve with hot roti or rice. 

In this way, your delicious Matar Makhana curry is ready.
