Shoe Bite Remedies: Almost everyone has the problem of shoe bite caused by new shoes at one time or the other. When we wear new shoes, their hard and rough soles tend to scratch our delicate foot skin. Due to this, red rashes, pain, swelling and sometimes small wounds also occur in the feet. This is called 'shoe bite'. Due to which there is difficulty in walking. To avoid shoe bite, we should gradually increase the use of new shoes. Wear new shoes only for 1-2 hours a day so that they can gradually mold to the shape of your feet. By wearing shoes for so long, their soles will also start becoming soft. Apply ice:

Use salt water.
In case of shoe bite due to new shoes, use of salt water proves to be very beneficial. Salt has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties which can give you relief. Applying salt water on the shoe bite area reduces pain and swelling. For this, mix one spoon salt in lukewarm water and apply it on that area. Salt contains sodium chloride which kills bacteria and reduces inflammation. Apart from this, water starts coming out due to osmosis in salt water, which also reduces swelling. By gargling with salt water two-three times daily, you will feel continuous relief from shoe bite. Salt is a cheap and easily available home remedy which is very effective in treating shoe bite.
Aloe vera gel
Aloe vera gel is a great home remedy to get rid of the problem of shoe bite. Aloe vera has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory properties which help in reducing the pain, swelling and itching of shoe bite. Apply a thin layer of aloe vera gel on the shoe bite area and rub it with light hands. It will cool the skin and reduce the pain. By doing this 2 to 3 times daily, shoe bite will be cured soon.
