Trudeau's 'genocide' comment spoiled our relations - Sri Lanka
Regarding relations between Canada and Sri Lanka, Foreign Minister Sabari said that due to Trudeau's 'genocide' remarks, relations between the two deteriorated. He said that the Ministry of Global Affairs in Canada has very clearly said that genocide did not take place in Sri Lanka, while PM Trudeau as a politician stands up and says that genocide did take place. They themselves are contradictory to each other. Sri Lanka had rejected all the allegations made by the Canadian PM.
Don't interfere in internal affairs Trudeau- Sri Lanka
The Sri Lankan Foreign Minister also advised the Canadian PM not to interfere in the internal affairs of a sovereign country. He said that I do not think that anyone should enter other countries and tell us how we should rule our country. We love our country more than anyone else. We are not at all happy with Trudeau's statement. The Foreign Minister said that we need to work together. In this way we can create a peaceful environment.
