India will write history on the strength of these companies, money will rain from Aditya L1 mission

After a few days of the success of Chandrayaan 3 mission, Aditya-L1 is also going to write a new chapter of success. Along with L&T, ATL and MTAR have also given a lot of support in this mission and have given many components in preparing this craft.

The successful launch of the country's first mission to study the Sun - Aditya-L1 is likely to increase investors' interest in the Indian space sector. Along with this, money can also rain on private players. Several private sector players including Larsen & Toubro (L&T), MTAR Technologies and Anant Technologies have played an important role in the Solar Observatory mission of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).

To study the region around the Sun, Aditya-L1 was launched on PSLV-C57 rocket on Saturday for 125 days. Which is about 1.5 million km away from the Earth. This distance is only 1 percent of the total 150 million km between the Earth and the Sun. Many institutions like the Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA), Department of Science and Technology and the European Space Agency (ESA) have also contributed to this historic mission. Announcing the success of the launch, ISRO Chairman S Somnath on Saturday said that the Aditya L1 spacecraft has been placed (in intermediate orbit).

What does ISPA say?

This is another success story for the Indian space ecosystem. Which has also recently tasted the success of Chandrayaan-3. According to Indian Space Association (ISPA) Director General AK Bhatt, this achievement will prove to be another milestone for India's space sector after Chandrayaan-3 mission. This not only highlights India's capability in space exploration but also instills confidence in the ability of our private sector to collaborate at the international level and contribute to the global space industry. These successes will also advance funding possibilities for our private space companies. So let us discuss about those companies which have supported ISRO in Sun Mission.

L&T gave many components

L&T, which was involved in almost every aspect of India's new Moon mission, has also provided several key components for the solar mission. AT Ramchandani, Executive Vice President and Head, L&T Defense, said, “We are privileged to partner with ISRO for India’s first solar mission – Aditya L1 – for which L&T has built space-grade engineering, manufacturing skills and trained workforce. Hardware is provided. He said that he is proud of his five decade long partnership with ISRO. L&T is also a part of the Gaganyaan mission.

The Aditya-L1 mission was launched by the 44.4 meter tall Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV), India's trusted workhorse in the space sector. PSLV rocket was used in 59 out of 91 launches done by ISRO. However, the actual cost of the mission is not known. The government has allocated about 48 million dollars for this.

ATL gave 48 sub systems of PSLV

Hyderabad-based Anant Technologies (ATL), with its extensive experience in satellite system design, development and integration, played a key role in the Aditya-L1 programme. In the Aditya-L1 mission, ATL manufactured several avionics packages. These packages include onboard computers, star sensors, modular EED systems and payload DC-DC converters, among others.

For the PSLV-C57 launch vehicle, ATL supplied 48 subsystems such as tracking transponders and several interface units and completed assembly, integration and testing. PSLV-C57 is the seventh launch vehicle integrated by the ATL team, and five more launch vehicles are currently under integration. ATL Chairman and Managing Director Subba Rao Pavuluri said that this partnership will be a milestone for us, as we continue to contribute our technical excellence and manufacturing to support India's space exploration efforts.

MTAR Technologies made such contributions

Parvat Srinivas Reddy, Managing Director, MTAR Technologies, said that the tremendous growth achieved in the Indian space sector is the result of the hard work of all the ISRO scientists. MTAR is proud to be a significant contributor to all ISRO launches. We have supplied systems such as development engine, electro-pneumatic module, valves, safety couplers for the PSLV-C57 launch vehicle used for the mission.
