Both the parties have decided the rules and regulations of the MOU after several rounds of talks. Now both the countries are expected to sign it early next month. However, the draft of the agreement has not yet been made public.
Labor shortage in these sectors of Taiwan
Taiwan is facing labor shortage in its key sectors such as manufacturing, factories, construction, household workers, agriculture and fisheries. Taiwan hopes that this shortage of manpower can be overcome with the help of India. Sources informed that Taiwan will give preference to migration of workers from the north-eastern region of India. At present, Taiwanese people get a minimum wage of 26,400 Taiwan dollars every month. In US dollars this amount is 820 dollars, in Indian rupees this amount is approximately 68,240 rupees.
