India's final 15 players announced for World Cup 2023, 37 year old player got a chance

 

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the 15-member team for the 2023 World Cup. 37-year-old Ravichandran Ashwin has got a chance in the team, he has been included in place of injured Axar Patel. Akshar suffered a quadriceps injury in the match against Bangladesh in the Asia Cup. Ashwin has reached Guwahati with the Indian team where he will be available to play in the warm-up match against England to be held on September 30. 

Ashwin recently made a comeback to the Indian ODI team in the series against Australia. In the first two matches, he performed brilliantly and took 4 wickets. Along with Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja will strengthen India's spin attack. 

This is Ashwin's third ODI World Cup. Apart from Virat Kohli, Ashwin is the second Indian player who was a part of the Indian team that won the World Cup in 2011. Ashwin was also a part of the 2015 World Cup held in Australia. However, he did not get a place in the World Cup played in England. 

Let us tell you that the Indian team will play its first match against Australia on October 8 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
