Karnataka defeated Netherlands by 142 runs, first 7 batsmen were out for 0.

On Monday (25 September), the Karnataka team gave a reality check to the Netherlands cricket team which is preparing for the World Cup. In the practice match played at KSCA Alur ground here, the host team registered a spectacular victory by 142 runs in the 50 over match. The Dutch batsmen completely surrendered in front of the Karnataka bowlers. Even the first 7 batsmen could not open the account.

Batting first in this match, Karnataka team was all out after scoring 265 runs in 46 overs and set a target of 266 runs for Netherlands to win. Devdutt Padikal scored 56 runs for Karnataka, while R Samarth played an inning of 81 runs in 79 balls. Apart from this, Mayank Agarwal also made an important contribution of 27 runs.

For Netherlands, Vikramjit Singh did wonders with the ball and took 4 wickets for 28 runs while Ryan Klein took 3 wickets. After this, a good fight was expected from the Dutch team which came to chase 265 runs but their batsmen did not even try to fight. You can gauge the poor batting of the Dutch team from the fact that their first seven batsmen could not even open their account.

At one time, Netherlands' score was 36 runs for 9 wickets and it seemed that this team would not be able to score even 50 runs but then there was a partnership of 89 runs between Ryan Klein (49) and Paul Van Meekeren for the last wicket and the team Was successful in crossing 100. However, the entire team was all out after scoring 123 runs in 25 overs and Karnataka won the match by 142 runs. For Karnataka, Vedhavat Cariappa and V Kaushik did wonders with the ball and took 4 wickets each. The good news for the Dutch team is that they saw the mirror in the practice match itself and now they would like to perform well in the remaining practice matches and go to the World Cup.
