He thought about the progress of villages, farms, farmers and the poor. From the very first day, he believed that India's progress would be considered in the right direction only when the person sitting at the last position in a remote village would be happy. He wove the dream of a united India. It was he who gave the slogan of one country, one constitution. At that time, he thought of making a political alternative in front of the mountain-like Congress. Today, 25th September, is the 107th birth anniversary of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay.
The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party at the Center and in many states of the country is trying to follow the ideals created by him. His imprint can be clearly seen in many schemes of the Government of India. Removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir was an important part of his dreams. He was a strong supporter of Antyodaya and integral humanism. When the Central Government started the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Antyodaya Yojana, it would be called a tribute to him.
After the sudden crisis during the Covid period, Pandit Upadhyay used to dream of schemes like free ration to a large population of the country, Kisan Samman Rashi, Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Swanidhi Yojana, village-to-village, door-to-door toilets, which he The established party is now realizing it. All these examples are proof that the Bharatiya Janata Party is still connected to its roots. Those who say that this is Modi's party are wrong. Modi is the supreme leader, this is an undeniable truth. But, even today the party is seen walking on the path drawn by Deen Dial Upadhyay and Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.
Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay was a supporter of employment
Despite this, the Central Government still has a long way to go to fulfill their dreams. Unless the farmers become strong, the dream of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay will not be fulfilled. When the farmer does not have to pay honorarium, does not need free ration, that is, when a farmer sitting in a remote village can get a fair price for his crop, then Antyodaya's dream will be fulfilled. Only then will the dream of Deen Dayal Upadhyay be fulfilled. He was against industrialization. Had he been alive today, perhaps he would not have opposed it, but he would have definitely supported the fact that employment should reach every home just like roads, electricity and water are provided to every village. Every household should have a solid source of income. Be it through agricultural produce or for those who do not have land, through employment in a factory located near their home. The plans of the Central Government have moved in that direction but a long distance still needs to be covered. The country has moved forward. Problems have also increased in the same way. There will be continuous work for the person sitting at the last position,
The government will have to work in this direction
Now the government will have to work in such a direction that the looting of mandis should be stopped. Blackmailing of farmers should be stopped. Because of this, many times the farmer has to bear losses, far from recovering the cost of his crop. The way a company like Amul has connected farmers through milk through the cooperative movement, it has improved their economic condition. If all other cash crops are purchased in the same manner, the farmer's cost of reaching the market will be saved and time will be saved, so he will be able to concentrate on producing food grains for himself and the country by spending more time in farming.
The system will also have to be made such that farmers do not become victims of fraud on their own farms. There is also a need to create a transparent system of payment. Due to the absence of such a system, farmers often sell their crops to traders at low prices. Payment for sugarcane crop is still a big problem for the farmers. Many times payments are being made after years. Today, a network of roads has been spread from village to village. So this work becomes easy.
Saw the village and poverty too
After this, the farmer will neither need respect money nor free ration. Deen Dayal Upadhyay had seen the village and also poverty. He himself was born and brought up in a rural environment and even while traveling across the country and the world, villages came to his dreams. He knew the truth. At that time, the economic structure of the villages was such that the need for cash was minimal and the rich and the poor of the village would meet their needs together. His economic philosophy is clearly visible in the policies of the current central government but there is still a need to give it more strength. Only then will it be considered a right step towards fulfilling the dreams of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay.
