Fasting is very beneficial for health, especially if the right things are consumed during this period. Fruits and healthy drinks are considered the best options for fasting as they are rich in nutrients, low in calories and easy to digest. But there are some fruits and drinks whose consumption during fast can be harmful. Consuming some fruits and drinks during fast can cause indigestion, acidity and other problems in the stomach. These fruits should not be consumed during fast 

During pineapple 

fast, we remain on an empty stomach, hence consuming pineapple can be harmful. Pineapple should also not be eaten on an empty stomach. Pineapple contains an enzyme called bromelain which harms the digestive system if eaten on an empty stomach. Pineapple also contains vitamin C along with fiber. Both of these slow down the metabolism.

Kiwi 

Kiwi contains an enzyme called actinidin which can cause stomach cramps and pain if eaten on an empty stomach. We remain on an empty stomach during fast, hence do not eat kiwi even during fast. 

Chikoo

Chikoo juice is acidic in nature. Eating chiku on an empty stomach or fast can cause stomach irritation and acidity. 

Know which drink should not be consumed during fast. One

should avoid consuming cold drinks or packed juices during fasting. Actually, they contain artificial sweetener and preservatives which is harmful for health. Caffeinated drinks like tea, coffee, and soda should not be consumed during fasting, because caffeine can make you feel more thirsty.
