World famous singer Shakira seems to be in legal trouble. According to a report, he has been accused of tax evasion of 7.1 million dollars (about 59 crores) by the Spanish official in Barcelona on Tuesday. According to the report, Shakira had allegedly failed to pay taxes to the Spanish government in 2018. It is alleged that Singer had used an offshore company in a tax haven to avoid paying taxes.
Let us tell you, Shakira has been in the news for a long time regarding the tax dispute. According to a report, in November 2022, he had refuted the claims of Spanish officials. She said that she was not a resident of Spain between 2012 and 2014.
Spanish government's stance
According to Spanish law, people have to pay tax only if they spend 183 days or more there in a year. Shakira denied spending so much time in Spain at that time. Shakira claims that she has paid taxes to the US government between 2012-14 and has paid $10,141,075.

Shakira lived in Spain with famous football player Gerard Pique. Both lived together for about 11 years. Both of them were married, but their relationship did not work out.
