Amidst the increasing cases of dengue across the country, the cases of malaria have also started increasing. Malaria fever is caused by mosquito bite. Many parasites are responsible for spreading malaria. The most dangerous of these is Plasmodium falciparum. It is so dangerous that it can even lead to death. If you are feeling cold with mild fever, severe headache, then these are the symptoms of this dangerous form of malaria. On the appearance of these symptoms, one should immediately go to the hospital. Negligence in this matter can be fatal. It is a matter of concern that a person infected with malaria can also be infected with two parasites simultaneously.
One such case has come to light in Noida, where along with Plasmodium falciparum, the most dangerous parasite of malaria, Plasmodium vivax has also been found in a person. At present the patient is being examined. Doctors say that such cases occur only in one patient out of thousands. But simultaneous occurrence of two infections is a cause for concern. In such a situation, people need to be protected from malaria. Since malaria cases increase rapidly during these months, do not take any kind of fever lightly. Avoid self-medication and get treatment.
How does malaria happen
Dr. Deepak Kumar at Safdarjung Hospital explains that malarial fever is caused by the bite of Anopheles mosquito. When this mosquito bites a person, Plasmodium bacteria enters the body. Gradually it starts growing in the body. After two to three days fever starts coming and this bacteria starts showing effect on different parts of the body. If the symptoms of malaria are not identified on time, it can lead to the death of the patient.
In the case of malaria, fever comes in the beginning, sweating starts and slight chills are also felt. These are its initial symptoms. If you are having this problem, get yourself tested for malaria immediately. If this fever is confirmed then get treated immediately.
