Nepal cricket team crossed the limits in Asian Games, became the first team in the world to score 300 runs in T-20 International.

The first match of the men's T-20 cricket event at the Asian Games 2023 was played between Nepal and Mongolia on Wednesday, 27 September. In this match played in Hangzhou, China, Nepal cricket team defeated Mongolia in a one-sided fashion and won by 273 runs and added the first points in the points table.

After winning the toss at Pingfeng Campus Cricket Field, Mongolia decided to bowl first but Nepal's batsmen proved Mongolia's decision completely wrong and scored a mountain of 314 runs on the scoreboard in 20 overs. Kushal Malla and captain Rohit Paudel increased the pace of the match by making a partnership of 193 runs in just 65 balls.

The mammoth score of 314/3 made by Nepal is also the highest score in T20 International. Earlier this record was recorded in the name of Afghanistan, Afghanistan had scored 278/3 against Ireland in 2019 but now this record has been broken and has been registered in the name of Nepal. Not only this, Paudel and Company hit 26 sixes in their innings, which is the highest number of sixes hit in a T20I innings.

Chasing the impossible target given by Nepal, Mongolia's team collapsed for just 41 runs in 13.1 overs and Nepal won by 273 runs. This is the biggest margin of victory in terms of runs in T20I cricket and Nepal's batsmen broke many records in this match. Kushal Malla scored 137 runs in 50 balls with 8 fours and 12 sixes. At the same time, captain Rohit scored 61 runs in 27 balls. But it is not easy for any fan to believe what happened on the field after this. In fact, here Nepal's all-rounder Deependra Singh Airi hit a stormy fifty in just 9 balls, with which he has now broken the record of former Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh's fastest half-century.
