Only 3 OBC among 90 secretaries, Rahul Gandhi strongly attacks the government by showing the list in Lok Sabha

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi took part in the ongoing discussion on the Women's Reservation Bill in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. He supported the bill while addressing the House. But he said that the bill should be implemented from now on. Rahul demanded reservation for OBC women also. In his address, Rahul said that there are 90 secretaries in the government, out of which only 3 are OBC. Rahul said that the government does not listen to OBCs. Rahul reached the House with the list of secretaries. Showing the list, he demanded the government to change it.

Rahul cornered the government on OBC issue

Rahul Gandhi said, I stand in support of the bill. There should be a provision for reservation for OBCs in this bill, it is missing. Instead of the provision of delimitation and completion of census, this should be implemented immediately. He said that there is a new building, but the woman President of the country should also have been present in its program.

Rahul Gandhi said that whenever the opposition talks about caste census, diverting issues are brought up. Out of 90 secretaries of the Government of India, only 3 are from OBC. This is shocking. The ruling party created ruckus on this. Rahul said, don't be afraid, we are talking about OBC.

The Congress MP said that this is an insult to OBCs. Out of 90, only 3 OBC secretaries i.e. OBC secretaries control only 5 percent of the budget. Rahul said that hence the question arises that OBCs are in large numbers. Caste census is necessary to find out how many OBCs, Dalits and tribals there are. Do it quickly. Release the data of 2011, if you don't do it then we will.

Earlier, former Congress President Sonia Gandhi had addressed the House. He also raised the issue of OBC reservation. Sonia Gandhi said, Congress demands that this bill should be implemented immediately, but along with it, arrangements should be made for reservation of women of Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe and OBC by conducting cast census. The government should also take whatever steps are needed to make this a reality.
