All Ekadashis falling throughout the year are important, but Shukla Paksha Ekadashi of Bhadrapada month has special significance. This Ekadashi is known as Parivartini Ekadashi. It is believed that Lord Vishnu, who went into Yoga Nidra from Devshayani Ekadashi, takes a turn on this day. Whoever worships Lord Vishnu with a true heart on this day is liberated from all sins and receives the special blessings of Lord Vishnu.
Ekadashi tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada has started today i.e. on 25th September at 7.55 am and will continue till 5 am on 26th September. In such a situation, the fast on Ekadashi date is being observed on 25th September. On this day, worshiping Goddess Lakshmi along with Lord Vishnu is also considered very auspicious. Due to this, along with Lord Vishnu, the blessings of Mother Lakshmi also remain forever. However, there are some tasks on this day which we should pay special attention to, otherwise we will not get the results of the fast. Don't do this even by mistake
Rice should not be consumed at all on the day of Ekadashi. Along with this, wheat, urad, gram, barley, rice and lentils should also not be consumed at all. Apart from this, consumption of urad, moong, gram, barley and lentils is also considered prohibited.
Do not break the fast of Ekadashi before the next i.e. before Dwadashi. Apart from this, Harivasar time should also be kept in mind during Paran. According to beliefs, the fast is not broken during Hari Vasar.
One should also avoid getting angry on the day of Ekadashi fast. On this day, one should neither insult elders nor abuse the younger ones. One should not do anything that makes someone sad.
One should stay away from Tamasic things during Ekadashi fast. Use of onion and garlic should be avoided in food.
