The disease of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is increasing significantly in women. Girls of 18 to 20 years of age are also becoming victims of this disease. This is happening due to bad lifestyle and bad eating habits. PCOS disease occurs due to hormonal imbalance in women. Due to this disease, periods do not come on time and cysts start forming in the ovaries. Pimples appear on the face and weight also starts increasing. This happens due to increase in male hormone (testosterone) in women. If this disease is not treated on time, it can also cause cancer in the ovary.
Now a new research has come out regarding PCOS. In which it has been told that by taking keto diet, the symptoms of PCOS can be controlled and this disease can be prevented. A study by the Malaysian Ministry of Health found that by following a keto diet for 45 days, the problem of hormone imbalance in women's body comes under control. Due to which the chances of getting PCOS disease are less. Low carbohydrate, high fat diet is taken in keto diet.
Research published in the Journal of Endocrine states that following the keto diet has also improved the fertility of women. Along with this, hormonal disturbances also come under control. This reduces the risk of PCOS.

170 women were included in this research. He was given keto diet. That is, the women were given a diet that was low in carbohydrates. In women taking this diet, the problem of periods not coming on time was reduced to a great extent. Besides, obesity was also under control. In women, the level of male hormone (testosterone) was seen in the control.
Research author Karniza Khalid said there was an association between a ketogenic diet and improved fertility hormone levels in women with PCOS. Research has proved that keto diet helps in reducing the symptoms of PCOS disease. With this diet the weight remains under control. Keto diet also keeps the metabolism in the body healthy. Hormones also remain in balance.
