According to Hindu belief, every year in the Pitru Paksha, which falls from Pratipada of Krishna Paksha of Ashwin month to Amavasya, the ancestors come from Pitru Loka to Earth in the form of all kinds of living beings. It is believed that when ancestors come to see their descendants, to get their blessings, they should be honored by performing puja, shraddha, tarpan etc. as per rituals. According to Hindu belief, the person who performs Shraddha of his ancestors as per the rituals, gets their full blessings, but the person who ignores or disrespects them, they curse him and return back to their world.

When do ancestors get angry?

According to the Panchang, this year the holy festival related to the worship of ancestors will start from 29 September 2023 and will end on 14 October 2023, Saturday. In Hindu religion, the worship of ancestors is considered very important because these ancestors living in the ancestral world provide us with happiness, good fortune and health when we perform Shraddha and Pind Daan etc. as per the rituals. On ignoring them, a person has to face all kinds of problems. According to Hindu belief, due to the displeasure of the ancestors, even the work done by a person starts getting spoiled.
